This 6 month meat kit is for 1 person, and is based on having 1 can of meat available to you per month, which works out to approximately 1/3 cup of meat per day. Canada's food guide recommends that 1/4 of your plate be made up of protein foods. Meat as a source of protein we find, is a personal choice. Some do not require much in a day, where others prefer it with every meal. We have created this kit based on quantities we would feel comfortable storing for ourselves as part of our food storage plan. And we always recommend that you consider your own personal dietary needs and desires for your food storage.
