The Mountain House Breakfast Skillet is a savory medley of hash browns, eggs, sausage, and peppers, crafted for adventure. Deliciously comforting and effortlessly prepared, it’s the perfect start to any journey.

For nearly 50 years, Mountain House products have been the first choice for backpacking and camping, as well as emergency and food storage needs. Our foods are shelf-stable and can be easily prepared with just boiling water.

Preparation Instructions:

To prepare a single serving:
1. Open can. Remove and discard oxygen absorber
2. Bring 2/3 cup of water to a boil
3. Remove from heat
4. Add 1 1/4 cup of dry mix.
5. Stir carefully and cover. Optional: after 4 minutes stir again,
6. Let stand for 8-9 minutes.
7. Stir and serve.

To prepare the entire can:
Add 5 1/3 cups (1.3 L) boiling water to contents of can. Follow steps 5 through 7 above.

Storage and Handling

Do not open until you are ready to use. It is necessary to store Mountain House products properly to ensure maximum shelf life. Store the product in a cool area, avoid long-term storage above 72°F/22°C, and be careful to not puncture the cans. Under these conditions, Mountain House meals will maintain its shelf life for product quality, flavour and nutritional value. Once opened you can increase your shelf life by vacuum packing any unused portions or rehydrating all the product and freezing unused portions.
